I was glad to begin 2006 with an extended visit to India. Unfortunately, I missed out on a few movies (made in India), despite having had the necessary free time. Thanks to a last minute ditch by Sid, I also ended up missing out on the 2006 Pune International film festival.
- Iqbal - Nagesh Kukunoor. Read Amit Verma’s review of Iqbal.
- 15 Park Avenue. Gaurav Sabnis has a review up on Vantage Point.
- Bluffmaster. For some reason, bhai insists that it was a good movie.
- Rang De Basanti. An Aamir Khaan starrer always deserves a once over.

Arrey sethji, turns out Rang De Basanti is getting mixed reviews. Some people are saying it’s the truest movie they’ve ever seen; whereas some are saying the second half is just utter crap.
I’m going for it tomorrow evening, so let’s see how that turns out.
Iqbal, I regret not going for myself, but we could’ve rented that one instead of Garam Masale
Hehe.
Plus, don’t forget Khamosh Pani.
Luv,
SId.

Incidently Iqbal is also the name of one of the greatest Indian poets of the 20th century, the person who wrote ‘Sare jahan se acha.’
